This should catch your attention: trophy northerns. Then we’ll add some incredible walleye and smallie, action to the mix. This fly-in fishing lake is 5-miles, 10,000 acres of rocky shorelines and weedy bays, reaching a depth of 60 feet. Only you will know how big the treasures are in its deeps! O-Nee-Gum Lake has a short portage hike to Bass Lake, which is also catch and release.

A unique bonus to this outpost is Duff’s Point, where you can see historic pictograms. Kids especially will light up at these honest to goodness relics of the past!

This site sleeps six and offers an indoor toilet, screened-in porch and a large kitchen table at which to swap stories all night long. But don’t get too carried away. You definitely need to enjoy the lakeside bonfire pit. Look up! You’ve never seen stars like this, and fingers crossed, you’ll see the most marvelous sight of all, the Northern Lights.
